The people have been carefully safeguarding the culture and tradition of the state.
But of late there have been various attempts to disintegrate the peaceful co existence of the state, thereby hampering the development process in the state.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that it's a milestone on the part of the Tribal Research Institute to organise a festival exclusively for the tribal's.The theme of the festival, "Harmonizing and Honouring Our Culture" further suits the entire process, he said.
He further said that the hills and the plains should develop equally.
Instead of dividing among ourselves on petty grounds, we should come together and try to bring about peace in the state.
The function was graced by Lok Sabha MP, Thangso Baite as the President.
The festival was attended by around 25 different tribes of the state.
These different tribes will be showcasing various facets of their tradition and culture during the two-day festival.
