Imphal, October 18 2019: Manipur State Kala Akademi under the aegis of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata is organising a Workshop on Multimedia from October 20-27 at Khuman Lampak, Imphal.

Twenty-one (21) painters, sculptors and graphic artists from Manipur, Assam, Tripura and Sikkim are participating in the workshop, said a statement of L Kishworjit Singh, Secretary Manipur State Kala Akademi today.

The workshop will be inaugurated by L Jayantakumar Singh, Minister Art & Culture, Manipur at the premises of Manipur State Kala Akademi, Khuman Lampak, Imphal on October 20 at 2 pm.

Th Tombi Singh, Lalit Kala Akademi Awardee and MSKA Fellow will preside over the function.

Koolch'andra Mthem, MSKA Awardee and A Shivadas Sharma, Director, Art & Culture, Manipur will grace the function as guests of honour.

A literary programme of poetry readings by five noted Manipuri poets and a cultural programme comprising Pena Phamshak, Maibi Jagoi, Kabui Dance, Maring War Dance along with a Shumang Leela play 'Mou Ahum Ningol Ama' by Peacemaker Artistes Association will be presented as part of the workshop at the inaugural function, said the statement of the Akademi.
