ADC, Senapati continues to distribute medical equipment

Senapati, April 18 2020: Acknowledging the service of the frontline workers in the district, ADC, Senapati led by Chairman A Kapani with Executive Members and ADC Members distributed medical equipment to 4 Primary Health Centres of the district.

Speaking at the Mao Gate, A Kapani stated that the team came to distribute medical kits to the healthcare workers and the State Police who are on duty 24x7 at Manipur-Nagaland border.

ADC Chairman stated that the PHC, Mao had earlier written an application to the ADC, Senapati to look into the shortage of medical kits at the screening point, Mao Gate.

The donated items include personal protection equipment (PPEs), surgical masks, N-95 masks, hand gloves, hand sanitizer, other kits with some edible items.

This was the second phase.

ADC, Senapati had earlier distributed the equipment including thermal screeners to the District Hospital, Senapati.

Out of 10 PHCs in the district, the team had distributed such items to 4 PHCs at Screening Points- Mao, PHC Tadubi, PHC Makhan, PHC Maram.

While acknowledging the service of the frontline workers, the ADC Chairman also expressed gratitude to N Biren led Government for pro-active actions taken up to face coronavirus spread.

The ADC Chairman also acknowledged the efforts of district administration, NGOs, volunteers, CSOs of the district and the ADC Members for donating 1 month salary to CM's COVID-19 Relief Fund.

He also thanked public for cooperation in effecting the lockdown.

Thisho Kriina, Dy Chairman (Medical), ADC, Senapati also encouraged frontline workers for their services.

He mentioned that the ADC Senapati has been sponsoring water tankers to distribute to water to several areas in the district.

Later, they also later distributed relief food materials to labourers who are stuck at Maram areas.

5 kg of rice and 2 kg of potatoes were distributed to around 300 labourers at Maram bazaar, Sangongbam, Kavanam, New Maram, Ramlong, Kabinam and Lairouching.
