MPCC suspends Congress MLA

Imphal, January 18 2022: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has suspended Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect.

The suspension was executed on the recommendation of the Disciplinary Action Committee, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee.

According to a statement from MPCC, Kh Joykisan will cease to be a primary member of the INC with immediate effect.

The MLA could not be reached to get his reactions or comments on the suspension from the Congress today.

The suspension of the MLA comes just days before Manipur goes to polls on February 27 and March 3 .

It is still not clear from which party Joykisan will contest the coming Assembly election.

Joykisan was elected to the State Assembly in 2017 as a Congress candidate.
