Number of dengue cases goes up in Manipur

Imphal, October 16 2015 : With another patient was tested positive for dengue on Friday, the number of cases in Manipur has increased to 32 so far.

As per sources in the Health Department, regular dengue report collection is continuing as the cases are now on the rise.

Blood samples of three suspected cases were tested at RIMS laboratory when one was confirmed, taking the total number of people affected with the vector-borne fever to 32 .

The new case was from Churachandpur District where the number of people affected from the mosquito-borne disease is increasing, the sources said.

The State Health Department is taking up various measures to tackle the outbreak of dengue.

Blood samples of suspected patients are being collected and sent to RIMS for test.
