Imphal, August 16 2015:
NSCN (IM) leadership, particularly Isak Chishi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah is misleading Naga People like the "original serpent which misleads Adam and Eve," the underground group Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF) has alleged on Sunday.
MNPF Assistant Publicity Secretary Thomas Numai in a press release also stated that both of the leaders are "old and their health is not sound." Hence, before departing for "they wanted to ink any agreement" said the statement and added that India is also taking advantage of their "health condition" .
The Peace Accord between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) was not signed in the greater interest for the Naga people.
The stereotype of Muivah is well known by the Naga people.
"Isak Chishi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah" are not more valuable than Naga people.
Naga people are much more important than the two rebel leaders, MNPF said.
India must not forget the past failed accords before signing a final agreement with NSCN (IM).
NSCN (IM) is not the sole authority nor was it representing the Naga People.
There are also armed organizations representing Naga nation such as NSCN (K) and MNPF, it said.
MNPF warned the NSCN (IM) leadership to be aware of BJP led Narendra Modi Government's "sinister and malicious design" of dividing the Naga nation as well the region by pulling in NSCN (IM) on their side.
The over 60 years of struggle by the Naga people is not for better economic package or greater autonomy.
Many Nagas have scarified their lives after the peace agreements in the past Naga history.
The struggle cannot be compromises through any package or greater autonomy.
The sacrifice made by the Nagas for their sovereignty and independence cannot be betrayed at any cost.
The "hegemonic minded NSCN (IM) leadership" is advised once again to rethink before any further step, the outfit added.
"Indo-Naga conflict can only be solved when all Naga armed organizations are involved in the negotiating table.
Otherwise there will be no lasting solution," MNPF insisted.
