2nd newly built house dedicated to poorest family under CM's directive

A newly built house of one Moirangthem Roshni of Keibi Awang Leikai Khundrakpam constituency, which was standing in a very poor condition with holes on the roof, was dedicated to her as per the direction of Chief Minister N Biren today.
Social worker S Rajen, while dedicating the house to Roshni, said that there are various schemes of the Government but implementing these schemes takes time.
However, he maintained that, the beneficiary has been living all her life in a house which turned out to be worse than seeking shelter inside, especially during monsoon.
Considering the condition of the house, a prompt step to construct a new house was taken up after seeking available fund from the Chief Minister.
The district authority along with the authority concerned took up the work, he added.
The social worker stated that the local representatives, intending candidates and the social workers of the constituency should figure out these loopholes, drawback and issues of their own Kendra and questioned why they have not took up matters to the Government.
He said that the story of Roshni remained under the blinds until recently when the story got reported in the media.
It is rather unfortunate on the part of the respective Pradhan or elected member that the story came into light through media first and not them.
The social worker claimed that as part of the Go to Village mission (Khungang Chatsi), the authorities concerned are examining problems, issues and insufficiencies in each village.
It has been found that several parts the data recorded in the Economic Caste Census 2011 are not reliable adding that many earning people were recorded in the Economic Caste census and even under the BPL category.
Meanwhile, many underprivileged people have been denied any schemes of the Government as per the finding of the Census, he claimed.
The social worker maintained that, with the coming of the Go to Village mission, identification of the present condition of houses, families in a villager have been carried out properly and beneficiaries have started to reap benefits of schemes like CMHT or Ayushman Bharat.
On the other hand, the owner of the house expressed gratitude to the authorities concerned and the CM for rendering necessary aid to her and ending her grievances.
Peace and Development Co-Ordinating Committee (PDCC) and BJP Mandal Khundrakpam organised the inaugural and dedication ceremony.
ICHAM former president N Rajendro was also present in the event.
It is the second time that a newly constructed house has been handed over to the poorest family under the direction of CM N Biren.
