Former Chief Minister Rishang Keishing had promised to recognise the college as full-fledged Government College during one of his inspections during his tenure.
Former Education Minister T Meinya, Principal Secretary of Higher and Technology Education, former Education Minister L Jayenta and many others had also assured the same, said Sanjib and added that Jiribam people are disappointed with the Government's repeated false promises.
