Imphal, May 15 2022: Women folk of three wards of Wangkhei Assembly Constituency have sought clarification within 24 hours from all concerned who raised slur on Arunkumar Thangjam, MLA of Wangkhei AC while he was on visit to take stock of bomb blast which occurred at Telepati on May 13 .

In connection with the incident, a meeting was held at Ima Lai Khullembi Community Hall located at Khurai Ahongei Leikai today and the women folk condemned the insult on the MLA in the strongest term.

K Bimalata, an attendee of the meeting stated that it was unfortunate to speak ill against the MLA who came to take stock of the bomb blast situation and urged all concerned to provide clarity publicly on the matter within 24 hours.

She further cautioned that stringent actions will be taken up if the individuals concerned failed to provide clarity within the set time frame.
