Weaving looms handed to weavers

Imphal, December 14 2020: Weaving looms given by Directorate of Handloom and Textiles were handed to eight selected weavers of Kakching Municipal Council Ward no 4 by the Councillor of the ward Pukhrambam Sanahal Devi yesterday.

P Sanahal stated that the Directorate of Handloom and Textiles distributed weaving looms to 2250 selected weavers of the State in the recently held Manipur International Textile Expo (MANITEX) 2020 led by Chief Minister N Biren and Textile Minister Th Biswajit.

Since it was inconvenient for all the beneficiaries to go and collect the weaving looms directly, she collected the same and handed it over to the weavers.

She also thanked Chief Minister N Biren, Textile Minister Th Biswajit and the officials of District Handloom and Textiles Office Kakching for the noble gesture in the interest of the Weavers of the State.
