World First Aid Day observed in Imphal, Kakching

Imphal, September 14 2024:
Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Imphal West district branch observed World First Aid Day under the theme 'First Aid and Sports' at Manipur Press Club on Saturday.
As part of the programme, IRCS IW officials also presented demonstration of giving first aid to the attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, IRCS IW vice-chairman Kh Jadu informed that the event was organised to raise awareness among public on learning first aid which may prove crucial to save lives during any physical injury or medical emergency.
The function was also attended by IRCS IW secretary Dr Bankimchandra Thokchom and other members.
Indian Red Cross Society, Kakching branch in coordination with IRCS, Manipur state branch also observed 'World First Aid Day 2024' at Grace Cottage Cultural and Educational Development Foundation/Grace Cottage Academy, Kakching on Saturday.
As part of the observance, a first aid training programme was also held and was participated by volunteers of Youth Red Cross of Kha Manipur college, students of Grace Cottage Academy, Kakching and Junior Red Cross volunteers of Martin Grammar school, Kakching.
Speaking as resource person of the training programme Dr Bankimchandra talked on how first aid knowledge could be imparted to youths and Junior Red Cross volunteers.
He also presented a practical demonstration on giving first aid.
