Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Lokeshwar Singh; Minister of Social Welfare & Co-operation AK Mirabai Devi; MLA and President In-Charge of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Kh Joykisan Singh; MLA Th Shyamkumar, Secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur State Council Moirangthem Nara Singh; State Secretary of Manipur Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tomba Moirangthem and Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) L Sanajaoba Meetei have greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.
Th Lokeshwar Singh conveyed his wishes in a message to all and pray to celebrate the occasion with meaningful traditional purpose.
He also described the festival that the celebration of Ningol Chakouba will tighten the bond of love between brothers and sisters
of Manipur.
While, AK Mirabai conveyed her wishes to the people of Manipur a "peaceful, harmonious, prosperous and healthy Ningol Chakouba" .
Wishing the peoples of Manipur a happy and prosperous Ningol Chakouba, Kh Joykisan Singh, said that the festival provide an opportunity to share sorrow and happiness among the brothers and sisters in the state.
He also appealed to preserve the traditional aspect of the "unique Ningol Chakouba" festival.
Dr Moiranthem Nara Singh wished in his message that with the advent of the festival harmony, love and respect for women be prevailed among the people of Manipur.
Tomba Moirangthem also wished that let us ensure not to occur any untoward incidents in the state forever and make a prosperous place.
Th Shyamkumar also greeted "Let the almighty be pleased to award peaceful co-existence, prosperous and integrity of all the community of Manipur with the advent of the festival" .
While L Sanajaoba Meetei wished all the married women in the state to become a brave and good mother who can serve the society in future.
