Kakching, November 12 2024: District Officer, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Thoubal organised a farmers' training programme at Ema Nungthong Lairembi Relief Camp today.

The training was conducted under Manipur Organic Mission Agency's Phase IV Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCD-NER).

The event was attended by T Millikan, SDO Waikhong, chief guest; Kh Malem Nganba Meitei, District Officer (H & SC) Thoubal as the functional president and Y Chandrabodol, Nodal Officer, Ema Nungthong Lairembi Relief Camp Serou and Ksh Gourababu, chairperson, Serou GP as the guest of honour.

During the programme, Boris Longjam, Subject Matter Specialist, KVK Thoubal educated the gathering on the topic "Lucrative mushroom cultivation" while Ngangom Bishal, Assistant Project Officer, MOMA, Horticulture and Soil Conservation Manipur spoke on "Organic farming in Manipur".

Altogether 50 farmers participated in today's training programme.
