PNU calls for civil non-cooperation against NSCN (IM) for imposing ban

Reacting to NSCN (IM)'s alleged "ban order" issued on February 18, Poumai Naga Union (PNU) has called for a civil non-cooperation against the outfit till the order is lifted.
According to a report by The Hornbill Express, PNU had also called a special general assembly on March 6 to discuss the matter.
PNU while resolving to continue its support to the Naga Political movement, said that in the event of any injury or death caused to any individual of the Poumai Community by any organization or from any quarter, every Poumai have been asked to be prepared "to avenge such incidents and eventualities" and in case of any death caused to Poumai tribe arising out the of the Thiwa Village issue, such person would be declared as "Poumai Martyr" .
PNU also took exception to the alleged "attempt of the Western Tangkhul people assisted by NSCN (IM) to change the Thiwa Poumai Villages into Tangkhul Village and the Thiwa Poumai people into Tangkhul people" .
The Poumai people resolved to defend the right of the Poumai people to defend the Thiwa Villages founded by the Poumai ancestors, said PNU.
The Union asserted that Thiwa village issue is just "an internal and family problem of the Poumai Naga" .
