Tribal student bodies threaten stir

Imphal, November 10 2012: In a meeting of the representatives of ATSFM, ZSUM, TKS, MUTSU, TSA and Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Students' Union (IGNTUSU), Regional Campus, Manipur, the tribal student bodies have expressed their dissatisfaction over the negligence of the varsity authority towards smooth functioning of the regional campus.

Urging the varsity authority to materialize the memorandum of understanding signed between the students bodies and Vice-Chancellor of IGNTU, Manipur campus, KT Lalnihring, Secretary General of IGNTUSU said that the difficulties faced by the students of the university is of grave concern.

The demands and proposals of the students regarding co-curricular activities and other requirements have not been up to the expectation of the students.

Lalnihring has also warned that if the basic requirements are not fulfill within 18th of November 2012, the student bodies and college students' union would resort to various democratic forms of agitations.
