Workshop starts

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur kicked off a 2-day workshop on "Innovation, Incubation and Start-up with IPR possibilities" at its campus at Langol Tuesday.
MP Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Dr Unnat Pandit, Programme Director, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Govt of India and Professor Dr Goutam Sutraghar, Director NIT Manipur attended the inaugural event as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Dr RK Ranjan said that India is aiming to achieve 5 trillion economy by 2024.Investment, which gives rise to production and then consumption and their continuous cycle is necessary to generate employment and grow the economy, he said.
He also encouraged teachers and students of NIT use resources available to become innovative and grow as wealth of the State.
