99 candidates declared un-opposed 231 for Zilla Parishads,
595 for Pradhans and 3795 for members in fray

Imphal, August 10, 2012: With a number of candidates withdrawing their nomination papers for the Panchayat Elections scheduled on August 13, one candidate for Zilla Parishad, another for Pradhan and 97 for members have been declared elected un-contested.

Along with that, only 231 for Zilla parishads, 595 for Pradhans and 3795 for members would be in the fray of General Elections to Zilla Parishads and Gram Panchayats, 2012. According to reports received from State Election office, 21 aspiring candidates for Zilla Parishads, 67 for Pradhans and 429 for members would contest in the elections under Sawombung RO.

One member has been declared elected unopposed under this RO.

In Porompat RO, 30 for Zilla Parishads, 85 for Pradhans and 475 for members would be contesting the election.

Under this RO, 6 candidates for members have been declared elected un-contested.

Under Keirao Bitra RO, 18 for Zilla Parishads, 48 for Pradhans and 265 for members would be contesting in the election while 9 candidates for members have been declared elected un-contested.

Under Jiribam RO, 9 for Zilla Parishads, 22 for Pradhans and 156 for members would be in the fray while 6 candidates for members have been declared elected uncontested.

In Lamshang RO, 12 for Zilla Parishads, 32 for Pradhans and 250 for members would be contesting in the election while one member candidate has been declared elected un-opposed.

In Patsoi RO, 20 for Zilla Parishads, 52 for Pradhans and 291 for members would be in the fray while one member candidate has been declared elected un-contested.

In Wangoi RO, 22 for Zilla Parishads, 48 for Pradhans and 353 for members would be in the fray while one member candidate has been declared elected un-contested.

In Lilong RO, 14 for Zilla Parishads, 30 for Pradhans and 264 for members would be in the fray while 5 member candidates have been declared elected un-contested.

In Thoubal RO, 28 for Zilla Parishads, 30 for Pradhans and 865 for members would be contesting in the election while 30 member candidates have been declared elected without opposition.

In Kakching RO, 20 for Zilla Parishads, 54 for Pradhans and 362 for members would be contesting in the election while 16 member candidates have been declared elected un-contested.

In Nambol RO, 8 for Zilla Parishads, 26 for Pradhans and 114 for members would be contesting in the election while one member candidate has been declared elected un-contested.

In Bishnupur RO, 13 for Zilla Parishads, 25 for Pradhans and 128 for members would be contesting in the election while three member candidates have been declared elected un-contested.

Moreover, in Moirang RO, 16 for Zilla Parishads, 43 for Pradhans and 253 for members would now be in the fray while nine member candidates have been declared elected un-contested.
