Shyamkumar inaugurates Atal Tinkering Lab

Imphal, February 10 2020: MAHUD Minister Thounaojam Shyamkumar inaugurated an Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) installed under the NITI Aayog scheme, GoI at Azad Higher Secondary School, Yairipok, Imphal East today.

Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), a project funded by the Central Government is an approach to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation, creativity among the students studying from classes 6 to 12 across the Nation.

Addressing the media persons, Shyamkumar said that the Centre as well as the State Governments are focusing on providing model education to the students so that they can compete at par with other students across the world.

Noting that lab assistants will sincerely guide the students, the Minister said the Atal Tinkering Lab gives a great opportunity to students on full guidance and utilization of innovations.

Appealing to the teachers to sincerely impart knowledge to the students, he said teachers play a great role in reviving Government schools and in the development of a society.

Speaking about the education sector in Andro Constituency, he said that the Chief Minister will be inaugurating buildings of the Moirangpurel High School under the 'School Fagathanse Mission' soon.

He also gave his gratitude to the Centre for giving special focus for the development of schools in the constituency.

Shyamkumar maintained that, with the support of the teachers and the local residents of the various areas, Government schools have been revived in the Andro Constituency.

He also administered de-worming tablet, 'Albendazole' to the students of the Azad Higher Secondary School to mark the occasion of the National De-worming Day, which is observed across the Nation.
