DESAM condemns, demands appropriate action against IBSD Director

Imphal, January 10 2019:
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has condemned the alleged attempt of Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) Director and his colleagues in Manipur, to hire candidates for differentposts even though DESAM had leveled charges against him for being allegedly corrupt and acting per his whims in the institute.
A press release issued by DESAM publicity and propaganda secretary, stated that DESAM had submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding punishment for the Director's actions and had cautioned the authorities concerned to do the needful at the earliest.
Stating that the allegations leveled against him (the Director) are all true, DESAM further claimed that the organisation has also dug up more dirt and also has proof, aside from the alleged wrong doings which were revealed to all by DESAM in the past, and added that it will disclose the ssaid information to the public soon.
DESAM warned the administration and officials working at the institute to refrain from conducting any kind of tests or interview for appointment of candidates at the institute until and unless the matter concerning the IBSD Director is resolved.
It also threathened to launch stringent forms of agitations if the prior plan to appoint new candidates is progressed against DESAM's appeal.
The organisation maintained that any person or organisations can come out and debate through media if they claim that the allegations of DESAM are incorrect.
