Father of Hr Edn in Sadar Hills passes away

Kanggui, November 09, 2013: Founder and former principal of Presidency College Motbung and Damdei Christian College Henkholen Sitlhou passed away this morning at around 6 am at Shija Hospital, Imphal.

He was 86 and is survived by his wife, Lewish, three sons and two daughters.

The mortal remains of the noted educationist was brought to his Taloulong residence in Sadar Hills where thousands of Sadar Hills peoples, family members and relatives, near and dear ones from Nagaland, Assam and Manipur, various civil bodies, students and teachers, social workers, Church leaders, village chiefs congregated to pay their last tribute.

Teaching staffs and students of Damdei Christian College also brought the mortal remains of Henkholen to the College where they paid their last respect.

Ngamthang Haokip, IFC Minister, Govt.of Manipur; Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills; Members of ADC Sadar Hills, Chongpu Kipgen, MCS, CEO-SHADC,Kpi, Khaimang Chongloi, Secretary, Kuki Inpi Manipur were among other dignitaries who attended the funeral ceremony of the departed educationist.
