ARPS students visit ISRO to witness launch of AzaadiSAT

Imphal, August 09 2022: Keithelmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) sponsored visit of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Keithelmanbi students to Sriharikota on the occasion of AzaadiSAT launch by ISRO on August 7.To commemorate die celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a team of 8 girl students including two local girls and 2 staff members of ARPS (HS) Keithelmanbi were invited to witness the launch of AzaadiSAT, which is a satellite mission launch of 18 plus balloon satellites, 2 sub-orbital satellites and 2 orbital satellites.

It may be noted that 75 schools across India with 10 girl students from each state were invited to witness this mega event, a statement from IGAR (S) has informed.
