People from Myanmar, India start crossing Intl border

After the official opening of International Border of Myanmar-India yesterday, people from both the countries started crossing the border today.
15 individuals from Mandalay, Myanmar, travelling for Imphal were witnessed going through paper works at the Custom office in the immigration office of ICP, Moreh.
Meanwhile, one individual from Myanmar who is seeking treatment at Shija Hospitals expressed happiness over the official inauguration of border gate while adding that it will make the relation between two places strong.
The person stated that earlier, people from Myanmar were not allowed to enter the State through land route even with passport, however, the authorities from Myanmar and Imphal changed that situation.
She added that people from Myanmar will now be able to enjoy several opportunities in the field of medical and tourism as well.
According to a report from the offices at ICP, Moreh, six individuals from Manipur, two foreigners have crossed the border towards Myanmar.
