Protest meet for saving Sana Konung continues

With various organizations coming forward to take part in the move to save Sana Konung from being taken over by the State Government to develop it as a historical monument, the ongoing protest meet being held under the aegis of Sana Konung Semgat Sagat Lup completed 48th day.
Carrying forward the campaign, members of Thambal Sahitya Marup, Yairipok; Writers Club Manipur, Nambol; Kangleipak Loinasilon Apunba Marup; SEIPAL; Patriotic Writers Forum; Sahitya Pracharak Sabha, Wangjing; All Manipur Columnists' Union; IMAKHOL; NAHAKHOL; SAL; Thangjing Yaikeirol, Moirang; Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai Social Cultural Welfare Organisation; Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai Panthoibi Women Association and NAHAKOL participated in the protest session at Chongabon, Sana Konung here today.
The protesters said that the decision of the State Government to take over Sana Konung where the King is residing is not the right step at all.
If the State Government tries to take hold of Sana Konung forcefully, the relation between the people and the Government may cease to exist.
They further demanded that the decision of the State Government should be revoked at the earliest or else various types of intense agitations would be launched.
