IWSC condemns attack on doctor

Imphal, June 09 2020: The Imphal West Students' Club (IWSC), Khumbong has strongly condemned the attack on Dr N Haraba, allegedly by a few police personnel on June 7 near his residence in Uripok while he was returning from medical duty.

Dr N Haraba, who is an AYUSH Medical Officer of Primary Health Centre (PHC), Khumbong is presently employed as MO in-charge for quarantine centres, it said.

IWSC in its statement, has demanded for the attackers of Dr N Haraba to be booked and to punish them as per the ordinance recently passed to prevent attacks on health workers of COVID-19.IWSC has also appealed to all concerned to recognise and appreciate the yeomen service provided by medical, paramedical and other frontline workers during these troubled times.
