AMUCO organises free eye camp

Imphal, January 09 2025:
As part of its 32nd Foundation Day celebration, All Manipur United Clubs' Organization (AMUCO) organised a free eye camp cum distribution of spectacles at Morok Ingkhol, Imphal East district on Wednesday.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with Yaima Eye Hospital, Khagempalli Pankha Huidrom Leikai, and Morok Ingkhol Youth Development Club (MYDC).
It was attended by AMUCO president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, vice president MM Thambou, secretary (finance) Momocha Takhellambam and executive member Maibam Premjit among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Nando Luwang said that as part of the foundation day celebration, AMUCO has distributed winter seeds crops to farmers at various places.
He continued that the free eye camp was conducted with the aim to identify and treat individuals with cataracts and other eye-related issues.
Nando Luwang asserted that AMUCO and Yaiam Eye Hospital will facilitate free surgeries for those individuals diagnosed with cataracts during the camp.
Around 120 individuals were examined for eye related problems in today's camp.
Free spectacles were also distributed to those in need.
