Imphal, November 08 2019: Acknowledging the significant changes and improvement achieved by the State in the power sector, Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has been conferred two awards in two categories.

The awards were handed over to MSPDCL Managing Director L Priyokumar and Executive Director H Shantikumar by Ministry of Power, New and Renewable Energy Secretary SC Garg at the 13th India Energy Summit 2019 held at Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi on November 6 and 7 .

The awards bagged by the State are 1st Rank in 7th Innovation with Impact Awards for Discoms 2019 given under the Performance Improvement Award category and the first prize given under Innovation with Impact Award-North Eastern States category.

The 13th India Energy Summit 2019 was organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, New and Renewable Energy.

Meanwhile Power Minister Th Biswajit has expressed elation on winning the two awards.
