Imphal, January 08 2021: Irate relatives of Sorokhaibam (O) Sunita (35) who succumbed to bullet injuries stormed Singjamei police station this morning, demanding befitting punishment for Mutum Robindro (35) .

It may be mentioned that M Robindro of Thoubal Kiyam Siphai, currently staying at Kakwa Asem Leikai shot Sunita using his licensed gun.

The angry mobs also voiced their concern against the practice of providing gun licences indiscriminately.

After sustaining bullet injury to her stomach yesterday morning, Sunita was admitted at RIMS Hospital for treatment.

She succumbed to the injury yesterday midnight.

Sunita is the elder sister of M Robindro's wife Ayingbi.

It is reported that Robindro shot Sunita due to some arguments when the deceased was at the former's house to drop his 12 years old son.

It is further reported that the culprit has been taken into the custody of Singjamei police station.
