AMNM celebrates 79th foundation day

The 79th foundation day of All Manipur Nupi Marup (AMNM) was observed at IrabotBhawan'shall yesterday.
During the celebration, several issues prevailing in the State like violence on women and children, rise in suspicious deaths of women and failure of the State Government to provide welfare schemes to the poor people were discussed while few resolutions were adopted during the function, said a statement issued by L Sumantibala, secy AMNM.
The statement maintained that AMNM would campaign for clean and democratic election starting from the upcoming Parliamentary election and would also urge all to pass the Women Reservation Bill in the winter session of Manipur Legislative Assembly.
AMNM further resolved to file a petition to de-link Aadhar card from all the welfare schemes of the Government like NREGA and pension scheme among others.
Bhagini, president, AMNM Imphal-West, M Sakhi, president AMNM and S Sprojini of Women Development, Manipur State Council CPI attended the event as the presidium members.
