Sainik School Imphal celebrates 53rd Raising Day

Imphal, October 07 2024: In yet another historic milestone, Sainik School Imphal celebrated its 53rd Raising Day on Monday with great enthusiasm and gaiety.

Many senior members from the ex-staff and alumni of the school including high ranking defence service officials also attended the function, said a release issued by PIB(Defence Wing).

The celebration commenced with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Martyrs' Pillar by the officers, staff, ex-students and cadets of the school followed by a Cake Cutting Ceremony at the school auditorium.

On the occasion, variety entertainment programmes were displayed by the cadets thereby showcasing their innate talents to give a festive mood on the occasion.

During the High Tea, the ex-students interacted with the cadets and imbued in them a sense of motivation and inspiration to become patriotic and responsible citizens of the nation.

A friendly basketball match was also played between the staff and ex-students.

Lt Col Satish Kumar Singh, Principal, Sainik School Imphal, in his address appreciated the retired staff, alumni and ex-students for their relentless efforts in bringing the school to greater heights with their cooperation and assistance.

He also expressed his gratitude to all the members of Sainik School Imphal fraternity for making the school a pride of the region and to all present for making the celebration a grand success.

The celebration culminated with a grand lunch in the Cadets' Mess.
