Imphal, September 07 2019: Acknowledging that the State Government has sent relevant documents to the Central Government to hand over the case of Babysana to CBI, the JAC Against the 'Murder' of Ningthoujam Babysana Chanu has appealed to Chief Minister N Biren to pursue the matter vigorously so that CBI takes over the case.

A press release issued by the JAC cautioned that the protest agitation, now temporarily suspended, would be resumed with renewed vigour if their appeal goes unheeded.

Pointing out the Chief Minister's assurance that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would be pulled out from the case of Babysana, the JAC urged the Chief Minister to ensure that the same case is taken over by CBI at the earliest.

It then appealed to all the people and organisations of Thangmeiband area to suspend all kinds of entertain- ment programmes until the case of Babysana is taken over by CBI.
