JAC demands justice for minor rape victim

Bishnupur, February 06 2018: People at Bishnupur district today staged a sit-in protest demanding justice for a 16 years old minor rape victim.

The minor girl was raped by one accused namely Pangambam Johnson Singh (25) s/o Pangambam Dinesh Singh of Yairipok Nongbram Makha Leikai and then ditched somewhere in Bishnupur district on February 2 .

The accused is now in police custody, said our correspondent.

The JAC formed in connection with the incident appealed concerned authorities to deliver swift and speedy justice to the victim and family.

It further warned authorities that it will take up stringent agitation if justice is not served to the victim by February 10 .
