Bishnupur, October 05 2024: The New Life Foundation Manipur organised a training programme for 15 selected individuals at Hotel Elegance located in Moirang to give awareness on Cyber Crime and Cyber Bullying.

The programme was presided by Laishram Darmoni, Project Associate NIELIT along with Pukhrambam Premchand Singh, Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel and Dr Lamabam Pishak Singh, secretary, New Life Foundation as resource persons.

Laishram Darmoni spoke on the topic "Digital Security and Online Safety" followed by Pukhrambam Premchand on the topic "Legal Safeguarding Provisions on Cyber Threats" .

Speaking to the participants, Dr Lamabam Pishak Singh said, "In today's digital era we must be very careful in using social media to avoid any untoward incidents.

Misusing social media has landed many people in trouble.

So in order to avoid such incidents and not to fall prey, we must secure our data and privacy" .

It may be noted that New Life Foundation Manipur has been vigorously working in the field of human trafficking, child labour, child marriage, sexual abuse, children of drugs and substance abuse, livelihoods, climate change and also providing humanitarian aid.
