Imphal, July 05 2019: Jaipur based Saksham Society in association with Parishkar College of Global Excellence, Jaipur (Rajasthan) has conferred its prestigious Faculty Iconic Award 2019 to Dr Kshetrimayum Vedmani Devi of Sagolband Salam Leikai, Imphal.

The award was conferred for her outstanding contribution to the education sector in the State.

The award presentation ceremony was held on June 30 as part of the Educational Leaders Summit 2019 at Jaipur.

Honouring Dr Vedmani at the Parishkar College of Global Excellence's auditorium, Saksham Society's secretary Shilpa Chauhan observed that the award was given to Dr Vedmani in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment and individual excellence in her chosen field of activity, imparting education with a purpose and dedication at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr Vedmani is presently teaching Food Science and Nutrition (Therapeutic diet) as guest faculty in the Department of Home Sciences, GP Women's College, Imphal.

Earlier, she taught Community Nutrition and Therapeutic Diet at the Shija School of Nursing, Langol.

An active member of the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists, India, and an executive member of the All Manipur Home Science Association, Imphal, Dr Vedmani conducts theoretical and field based training programmes and lectures in her field for various Government agencies and NGOs.

She has various academic publications in National journals to her credit.
