Dog found loitering with severed hand

Denizens of Maram Bazar were put in awe when a dog was found loitering with a severed right hand of a human on NH-2 at Maram Bazar.
The hand was reportedly found on December 2, at a place near BRTF Mandir, Maram Bazar which is about 35 km (South) from Mao Police Station under Senapati district.
Personnel from Mao Police Station rushed to the spot and picked up the remains soon after the report reached their office on Wednesday.
With assistance from 33 Assam Rifles and village authority of Maram Bazar, the Mao Police conducted a search in and around the spot but could not find anything till the time of filing of this report.
When inquired to Mao Police Station, it was reported that no recent missing report was filed in the past and had no clue for an amputee in recent times according to sources from the medical department of the area.
In this connection, a suo motto case has been reportedly registered at the Mao Police Station for investigation.
