AR flags off tour to Delhi

Tamenglong, December 03 2023: The National Integration Tour to New Delhi for students of Indigenous Women and Children Foundation organised by the Tamenglong Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) was flagged off today.

Notably, Indigenous Women and Children Foundation is an orphanage at Tamenglong, Manipur.

The Commandant of Tamenglong Battalion interacted with the children and flagged off the tour.

The event was also attended by caretakers of the foundation, teachers, guardians and civil society organisations.

Twenty-three students, accompanied by two teachers and six Assam Rifles personnel including one officer, are participating in the tour.

The tour aims to provide a unique exposure to experience a different culture and also visit famous tourist attractions in and around New Delhi.
