CCpur scripts Divyangs' Day out at Loktak

hurachandpur district administration brought smiles to differently abled persons (divyangs) of the district as the district administration with the help of 32 bn CRPF, Centre for Community Initiative (CCO), People Advanced in Social Services (PASS), FCC (Mercy Home) CDDU, DSWO, IED/SSA and ZEO, CCpur took about 100 divyangs to Loktak Lake for a day-long excursion today to commemorate the International Day for Persons with Disability .
The divyangs showed great enthusiasm when the boats took them to the water of South East Asia's largest freshwater lake.
An inclusive and fun-filled entertainment programme at Sendra Resort by the lake side witnessed the participation from divyangs with many of them performing popular numbers .

Competitions like balloon blowing, three-legged race and dancing were held for special children.
Aid and appliances were also distributed to the divyangs who were assessed during the camp held on Nov 27 by the district administration .
Speaking at the occasion, Shyam Lal Poonia, DC, Churachandpur expressed deep satisfaction on spending the day with special children and thanked the organisations and agencies for coming together to make the day a special one for the children.
He stressed the need to create an enabling atmosphere to cater to the special needs of divyangs so as to realise their potential in Nation building .
He also thanked the CM for his concern for the divyangs and for launching the Chief Minister gi Sotharabasingi Tengbang (CMST) for their welfare .
Rakesh Balwal, SP, Churachandpur, Rajgopal Singh, CO of 32 Bn CRPF also spoke on the occasion .
The participants of the different events were presented prizes in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them.
A lunch was also arranged by the district administration for all the participants.
