"Greening the Rocks of Angaan Ching" campaign begins

Kakching, July 03 2022: Mayeng Lamjao Gram Panchayat Pradhan, U Narjit today launched the 2-month long "Greening the Rocks of Angaan Ching" campaign at Heritage Complex, Angaan Ching Eco Park Kakching.

On the first day, three sponsors namely Ksh Noren Singh, Kakching Ningthou Leikai; Nongmaithem Ratankumar, Kakching Paji Leikai; and Md Zulfikar and Md Noorsafi, Sora Bazar planted memorial trees.

Volunteers of Sunday Eco Club also took part in the campaign by planting tree saplings.

Meanwhile, the secretary of ADAM Kakching has appealed to the public to support the "Greening the Rocks of Angaan Ching" campaign and take part in the memorial tree plantation sponsorship programme.

The secretary also informed that under the sponsorship programme, tree saplings would be available at Rs 3000 (five saplings) and Rs 5000 (ten saplings) .
