Civic Action Programmes continue

As a part of Civic Action Programme, 34 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF and guidance of Dr Vipul Kumar, IG, CRPF today distributed hot & cold water dispensers at Christian Hospital Dewlahland, Imphal East.
The programme was attended by Shiv Shankar Upadhyay, Commandant 34 Bn CRPF, Rakesh Srivastava, 2IC of the Unit; Deepak Shukla, AC, OC, A/171; Ram Niwas Chauhan, AC, OC, E/34; Insp Rakesh Kumar from Dett-34, representatives from PS Imphal and locals of the area, said a release issued by CRPF.
During the event, Shiv Shankar Upadhyay distributed 3 hot & cold water dispensers to the needy families of relief camp at Christian Hospital Girls Hostel, benefiting a total of 61 men, women and children.
Shiv Shankar Upadhyay He also briefed the gathering about the significance & importance of the CAP and assured that the Unit, the Force and the Government will continue to help people of the region.
He said that CRPF is always with the society and serving not only as a peace keeper but also for welfare and harmony of the people in the areas.
The Commandant also highlighted the commitment of MHA and initiatives taken by the M & N Sector, CRPF to bring peace & normalcy in the region.
Moreover, a Civic Action Programme was also conducted at Koutruk village, Imphal West today under the aegis of Dr Vipul Kumar, IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF and supervision of Rajeev Lochan, Commandant, 120 Bn CRPF, Old Lambulane.
During the programme, 3 solar street lights (having LED light, solar plate, battery, pole) and sports items (volleyball & volleyball net) were distributed to the residents of Kouturk village.
Later, a cultural programme was conducted by the villagers.
The programme was attended by Sanjeev Kumar, Second-In-Command 67 Bn; Sujoy Gouli, Asstt Comdt; Insp/GD Rakesh Kumar Choudhary; Insp/Gd Hussain Siddiqui; Brajen Singh, president Koutruk Village Committee; Romen, secerety Koutruk Apunba Youth Club and Nimai, secretary Koutruk Youth Development Club among others.
