143 Bn CRPF distributes water storage tanks to Noney villagers

143 Battalion CRPF conducted a Civic Action Programme at Rangkhong village, Noney today.
A press release issued by Commandant 143 Bn CRPF stated that 34 water storage tanks (500 litre capacity) were distributed to the people of Khumji, Noney, Rangkhong and Awangkhul villages with the intention to help the needy villagers.
Commandant Lamkhokam Lhoujem graced the function as the chief guest and handed over the storage tanks to the villagers in the presence of dr GK Kabui, CMO, Romen, Assistant Commander of 143 Bn CRPF, dignitaries and locals.
The Commandant, while expressing happiness on getting an opportunity to fulfil the withstanding need of the villagers, stated that the unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
He continued that the Battalion, under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, have been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.
Around 500 people of the surrounding areas attended the distribution function.
It added that locals of the areas expressed gratitude to 143 Bn CRPF for conducting such activities under CAP.
