RIMS launches special campaign for institutionalizing Swachhata

Regional Institute of MediCal Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has launched a Special Campaign 4.0 aimed at institutionalizing Swachhata on Wednesday.
According to a release issued by RIMS, the launching event coincided with the celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Diwas, marking a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean and self-reliant India.
Speaking at the launching event, Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, emphasized RIMS' commitment to becoming one of the cleanest institutes in Manipur.
He noted the increasing public appreciation for RIMS as a clean hospital and reiterated the institution's on-going efforts to strengthen cleanliness measures.
"Stage-wise programs have been meticulously planned and are ready to be executed within this month of October", he said, outlining the institute's phased approach to further enhance cleanliness.
The Special Campaign 4.0 will continue until October 31, 2024 .
The Director also urged the public to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital, as it plays a crucial role in disease prevention.
He highlighted the successful implementation of the ban on plastic bottles within the campus, which has significantly improved waste management.
"In a bid to further enhance public convenience, RIMS is working to provide drinking water facilities throughout the hospital premises", he added.
Prof G Sunil Kumar encouraged the public to contact the RIMS Grievance Cell for any issues or concerns, assuring that the institute is committed to addressing public grievances promptly and effectively.
The launching event was attended by Deputy Director (Admn), Dean (Academics) and SubDean, Chief Account Officer/Financial Advisor, HoDs, EE (Civil), AE (Electrical), staff and representatives of CRED and MSS, Imphal.
