KRA(U) awards death penalty

Kanggui, February 02 2014: Kuki Revolutionary Army (Unification), which is under the umbrella of KNO, a SoO signatory, has reportedly awarded capital punishment to two of its cadres on January 30, for their activities against the constitution of the armed organisation.

According to a statement issued by the outfit's Information and Publicity Secretary Rohan Khongsai, the two cadres identified as Letgoulien Chongloi alias Kenedy of Jangnoi Village, Saikul and Janggouthang Chongloi alias JC.Michael of Taphou Kuki Village were awarded death penalty for their activities against the constitution of the organization on January 30 .

Rohan alleged that the duo was trying to float a new outfit by defecting from KRA (U) along with some sophisticated weapons.

But they were apprehended on January 30 and the weapons recovered.

Roshan further said that everyone including civil bodies, family members and relatives of the duo should not involve or organize any protest or activities regarding the decision taken by KRA (U) .

The outfit also made its stand clear on taking up appropriate action against any of its cadres who work against the constitution of the organization in future.
