CCpur, August 01 2021:
Students' bodies of Churachandpur district have jointly appealed to the DGP and the state government to ensure operation of the district employment exchanges and extend the deadline for submission of application forms for taking part in the police constable recruitment exercise.
In a joint release issued Saturday; ZSF-GHQ, KSO-Ccpur, MZP-Manipur and HSA Jt HQ, stated that the notification issued on July 14 for recruitment of 260 constables in Manipur police department issued by the director general of police required candidates to submit application form to the employment exchanges concerned by August 3, 2021.However, it has come to light that Churachandpur district's employment exchange has been closed since the total curfew was imposed on July 18.The bodies then expressed dismay that the district employment exchange was found closed when they inspected the office on July 31 .
"This utter negligence, incompetence and shabbily mishandling of the situation on the part of the government will definitely leave many candidate aspirants of the district unable to submit their application forms on time," the joint release said and appealed to the DGP and the state government to take necessary steps for ensuring the employment exchanges are opened at the earliest and to extend the dates for submission of application forms for the posts of police constable in the interest of the general public.
