Thoubal, December 31 2017: Women Antecedent Development Organisation (WADO) Kiyamgei Muslim Mayai Leikai and Lilong Kendra Reformation and Development Association (LKRDA) staged a sit in protest demanding the authorities to disclose the content of the Framework Agreement, signed between the Central Government and NSCN (IM), as well as to refrain from including any points which may harm the territorial integrity of the State .

The protest demonstration was staged at Lilong Usoipokpi under the aegis of All Manipur Muslim Development Committee (AMMDC) HQ, Lilong.

Speaking to media persons, AMMDC general secretary Sheikh Ataudin said that the people of Manipur are restless and have become suspicious about the impact on the territorial integrity and unification of different communities in the State as the contents of the FA, have not been disclosed to the people for more than two years.

The agreements reached between the Central Govt and NSCN (IM) should be properly disclosed to the people, he asserted while adding that the Meteis and Meitei Pangal communities will not be mere spectators to any part of the agreement which harms the territorial integrity of the State.

He recalled the sacrifice of numerous martyr on June 18, 2011, when the signing of Bangkok agreement between NSCN (IM) and the Central Government included the term "without territorial limit" which led to violent agitation on the State.

The people of the State are ready to launch more stringent agitation this time, he added.

The State Government should not stop pressuring Central Govt to reveal the contents at the earliest.
