Imphal, October 29 2016: Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has extended greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Diwali.

The festival is a symbol of victory of good over evil and light over darkness.

Diwali has been a festival of peace, harmony and brotherhood among various communities and has become relevant in today's world which is marred by violence and acts of terrorism, said the Chief Minister is his greetings.

May the festival be the harbinger of peace, harmony and prosperity in our society.

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president TN Haokip has greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Diwali.

In a statement, TN Haokip asserted that the significance of the festival lies in its universal message that truth brings victory.

Let Diwali bring development, peace, harmony and prosperity to the State, wished the MPCC (I) president.
