RIMS Director's office broke-opened

Imphal, August 29 2014 : The office of the Director of RIMS, which had remained locked since the order for ouster of Dr.Sinam Sekhorjit was issued and Dr.Ch.

Arunkumar was given charge of Director, was broke opened at around 9 am today.

During the opening of the room, newly appointed Director of RIMS Prof.Ch.

Arunkumar, Medical Superintendent Prof..MAmuba, Dean of Academics Prof.Kausik Devnath, Deputy Director Administration Y Rajendro, Chief Accounts Office E.Devendro Meitei, SDC Imphal west L.Gitchandra, Advocate A Bimol, and 2nd OC of Lamphel Police station Holkhomang Haokip were present.

With the opening of the room, Prof.Arunkumar has begun to initiate his official works.

Even as he took charge as Director on his own on August 26, Prof.Arunkumar could not perform his duties as the office room had been kept locked by the former director Dr.Sekhorjit.

With an official instruction from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the office room was broke opened in presence of representatives of police and district magistrate today.

Just after occupying the office, Prof.Arunkumar said he would initiate works after looking into the grievances and needs for development works in the institute.

In reply to a media query, Prof.Arunkumar said that any corruption charges pertaining to Dr.Sekhorjit's ouster has not been established so far.

If there is any, he would strive to rectify it.
