A day after Assam Minister Sarbanand Sonowal had stated that his government will not compromise on the territorial integrity of the state, Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren also reiterated the same comment saying that protecting the territorial integrity of the state is his government's top priority.
Talking to reporters at Imphal Tulihal Airport before leaving for New Delhi, N.Biren said that state's territorial integrity is his government top priority.
On the framework agreement , the Chief Minister N.Biren said his government will not compromise if it affect the territorial integrity of the state.

"What is the use of me being the Chief Minister when the state is distorted into pieces?" N.Biren said.
He further added that the apprehension of the general public regarding the speech of the NSCN-IM leader Th.Muivah has been clarified loud and clear by the Union Home Ministry.
The center has not made any such announcement at what the NSCN-IM leader had stated, he added.
Chief Minister N.Biren, PWD Minister Th.Bishwajit and some of the government top official left Imphal for New Delhi today.
They are meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 1 pm tomorrow.
"The visit is a courtesy called to the Prime Minister, and we may meet some of the top leaders of the Union Government , PWD Minister Th.Bishwajit said to reporters.
On being asked whether the team will meet the president of the India, Biswajit said that as of now they are not making any appointment with the President of India but may consider if time permits, he added.
On the other hand Biswajit also assured that he along with the Chief Minister will apprise the central leaderships, the needful to make sure that promises made the people of the state are fulfilled.
