Jiribam, February 26 2023: A public meeting was held on Saturday to strengthen the Justice Demand Committee for Madhutila Rape Victim (JMRV) related to the rape case of May 9, 2021 .

The meeting was attended by Ch Nabakumar Singha, chairperson JMRV; Yambem Arun Meetei, secretary general CEC- World Meetei Council; Dr KN Chand, retired professor & advisor to JMRV; Sanasam Lalmani, president WMC Jiribam District Committee; M Thambal Singha, vice chairperson JMRV and KH Birendra Singha of NONGIN NGO as presidium members.

Mutum Gunadhon, co-ordinator JMRV & chairman, NONGIN NGO; Sarat Laishram, Laishram Satyajit, Potshangbam Pratima Singha, Birmohon Singh and Sagapam Manaobi Singha also took part in the event along with Meira Paibis and villagers of Lamargram.

At the meeting, Yambem Arun Meitei urged all to provide their cooperation and work together to win the case and give justice to the victim and her family.
