Myanmar delegates welcomed

Imphal, November 25 2018:
Shija Hospitals, Imphal organized a reception function of Myanmar delegates led by Sagaing Region CM Dr Myint Naing at its auditorium today.
Shija Hospitals Managing Director Dr Kh Palin, Act East Policy Committee convenor RK Shivchandra and many other doctors welcomed the Myanmar delegates during the function.
A slide presentation highlighting the achievements of Shija Hospitals and the initiatives taken up by the said hospitals in Myanmar were presented during the function.
The presentation emphasized India's medical tourism status/position and conveyed that the sector is continuously thriving.

It also highlighted that many Burmese citizens, particularly from Sagaing Region who have received treatment from Shija Hospitals.
189 patients from Myanmar have been treated at the hospital after the opening of Indo-Myanmar land route on August 8 this year.
The hospital authority also informed the Myanmar delegates that it is opening a 'vision centre' at Moreh.
Speaking at the function, Sagaing Region CM Myint Naing lauded the role played by Shija Hospitals in the field of medical care in Myanmar and Asia as a whole.
He said Sagaing Region needs medical assistance from Manipur and Shija Hospital in particular while conveying that he himself was once a medical practitioner before he entered into politics.
Asserting that he wanted to bring more development in Sagaing Region, Myint Naing exuded confidence that the relation between Manipur and Myanmar will be more strengthened in the future with better mutual cooperation.
Meanwhile, Hodam Leirak Club and Keishamthong Hodam Leirak Yumjao Lairembi Meira Paibi Nupi Kanglup has organized grand reception ceremony of Meiteis from Myanmar today at Hodam Leirak Club.
The event was organized under the aegis of Act East Policy Committee Government of Manipur.
Twenty-four Meiteis are visiting the State for the Sangai Festival.
They were given warm welcome and locals of Hodam Leirak interacted with them.
Briefing media persons, convener of Act East Policy Committee Manipur RK Shivachandra said, the visit by the Meiteis of Myanmar will strengthen the bonds between the two meiteis of different countries.
