Imphal, July 23 2011: Thongbam Ongbi Roji of Churachandpur Thengra Leirak who reportedly committed suicide in a suspected manner was murdered by her in laws alleged family members of the victim.

Speaking to reporters here in Manipur Press Club today in a press meet, family members of Roji told reporters that under no circumstances no mother will commit suicide leaving her seven months old baby for a minor reason like some arguments with her in laws.

Moreover there was a scar mark near her right ear which looks like an injury mark upon hitting by a hard object.

When they demanded the poison bottle which she consumed to commit suicide, her in laws denied giving them the bottle.

From all these reasons it clearly shows that Roji did not commit suicide but she was murdered brutally by her in laws.

Family members filed a case in CCpur police regarding the alleged murder.

Panthoi an aunt of Roji told reporters that Roji had once told her mother that she did not find any peace in her home and she wanted to return to her maternal home.

As soon as the post mortem report came, the truth will come out to the public, she said.
