Awareness programmes on drug abuse held

Bishnupur, April 23 2019: Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) organised academic awareness programmes on drug abuse at Children Ideal Junior Basic English School, Kairenphabi and Mukta High School, Moirang yesterday.

The awareness programme at Children Ideal Junior Basic English School, Kairenphabi was attended by Ronel Tongbram, Principal of the school, Hijam Priyokumar, president, CADA and Huningsungbam (O) Basanti, president, CADA Bishnupur District Committee and others.

Geetchandra Mangang, secretary general CADA addressed the students about the ill effect of drug abuse on health and society.

He advised the students to stay away from illegal drugs.

The event at Mukta High School, Moirang was attended by Ningthoujam Doren, vice president CADA as resource person.

CADA handed over copies of its journal "Health for future" to the students and school authority at the events, said a statement of Khundongbam Anand, secretary information & publicity, CADA.
